Shortages of 3M cables and specific TE Connectivity D-Sub connectors (e.g., 342101-1) threatened to extend lead times beyond the required 2-3 weeks per PO.

Solution

Proactively sourced alternative high-quality D-Sub connectors from authorized Amphenol and Norcomp channels with equivalent UL certifications. Negotiated acceptable alternatives with the customer's engineering team — same density, same pin count, same hood mechanical envelope.

Maintained delivery schedules despite global component shortages, keeping the multi-PO program on track without line-down events.
