Battery pack internal harness failures hide for 6-18 months and emerge as warranty disasters. A miswired cell-tap will read OK at first BMS wake-up if all the polarities happen to align by accident, then drift the pack out of balance over a hundred cycles. An under-crimped M8 busbar lug carries the current at day-one but climbs in joint resistance under thermal cycle and eventually arc-welds itself or melts a busbar.
